Terms of use
The agreement for using Meridian.
Who we are
Meridian is a community where founders put what they are building on a world map, find each other, ask for and offer help, meet up, and talk. These terms are the agreement between you and Meridian when you use the website or the mobile app.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older to have an account. We ask for your date of birth to check this and keep it private.
- Give a real name and an honest description of what you are building.
- Keep your password and your two-factor codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person, one account. Accounts cannot be sold or transferred.
What you share
You keep ownership of everything you post: your profile, posts, replies, messages and photos. You give Meridian permission to store and show it to other members so the community can work, for as long as it stays on Meridian. Only share what you have the right to share.
Your profile shows your approximate location (your city, not your address) on the public map. You choose which profile details are public in your settings.
How to behave
Follow the community guidelines. In short: be honest, be useful, and do not spam, harass, mislead or sell to people who did not ask. We may hide content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put members at risk.
Connects
Starting a conversation with a founder you are not connected to costs one connect. Everyone gets welcome connects, and more can be bought in packs. The connects and refunds policy explains how they work and when you get them back. Connects have no cash value outside Meridian and cannot be transferred or sold.
Meetups and introductions
Meetups, introductions and deals happen between members. Meridian does not check who people are beyond their email address, and is not part of any agreement you make with another member. Take the usual care when meeting someone new, especially in person.
Our service
We work hard to keep Meridian running and your data safe, but we provide it as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, Meridian is not liable for indirect losses, or for what other members say or do.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We delete your profile, posts and messages, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records. Unused connects are lost when you delete your account.
Changes
When these terms change in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before or when the change takes effect, and ask you to agree to continue.
