Connects and refunds

What a connect is

A connect lets you start a conversation with a founder you are not yet connected to: a connection request or an introduction. Talking to people you are already connected to is always free.

Welcome connects

Every new account with a confirmed email gets welcome connects, once per email address.

When a connect comes back to you

When you send a request or an introduction, one connect is held, not spent.

• They say yes: the connect is spent.
• They say no: the connect comes back to you straight away.
• No answer within the holding period: the request expires and the connect comes back to you.

Buying connects

Packs are paid in Naira through Paystack for founders paying from Nigeria, or in US dollars through Bachs for everyone else. Prices are shown before you pay, and connects arrive in your balance as soon as the payment is confirmed.

If you paid and did not get your connects

Payments are usually confirmed within a minute. If yours is not, contact us with the payment reference from your receipt. We check the payment with the provider and either add the connects to your balance or refund the payment in full.

Refunds of money

• Payment taken, no connects received: full refund, or the connects added, your choice.
• Charged twice or the wrong amount: the extra is refunded in full.
• Unused connects from a pack bought in the last 14 days: you can ask for a refund of the unused part.
• Connects already spent, or packs older than 14 days: not refundable, except where the law says otherwise.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank. When a pack is refunded, its unspent connects are removed from your balance.

Accounts closed for breaking the rules

If we close an account for breaking the terms or community guidelines, unused connects are not refunded.

How to ask

Email us from your account email with your payment reference. We reply within 3 working days.
